Visit Estonia’s Smart AI Chatbot
October 14, 2025
Estonia’s official tourism portal, visitestonia.com, recently received an upgrade that makes visiting the site much more convenient. The platform now greets its visitors with an AI-powered chatbot developed by Krabu Grupp. This new solution helps users quickly and easily find answers to questions related to travel, destinations, events, and everything else connected to exploring Estonia.
Client need: less searching, more clarity
The Visit Estonia team faced a challenge: the portal contains a vast amount of content, but not every visitor knows where to start or how to quickly find the information they need. Many users access the site via mobile devices, in different languages and from various time zones — which means help must be available anytime, anywhere.
They needed a solution that would let users find answers on their own, without having to browse through dozens of pages or send emails.
The solution: a smart chatbot that works around the clock
Krabu Grupp built a solution that works like a helpful virtual guide. When a user scrolls the page and sees the chat icon, they can open it and ask a question such as:
• “What festivals are happening in November?”
• “Where can I find vegan food in Tallinn?”
• “When is the best time to visit Soomaa National Park?”
The chatbot searches existing articles and databases for the answer and delivers a clear and concise response. If needed, it also links to specific pages with more information.
The conversation is personal, simple, and smooth — and it works on all devices, 24/7. If the user temporarily loses internet connection, the chatbot notifies them and patiently waits until the connection is restored.
A user-friendly and natural part of the website
It was important that the new solution wouldn’t distract users but instead feel like a natural part of the site. That’s why the chat window is designed to be simple, discreet, and visually aligned with Visit Estonia’s overall design. All messages are clearly displayed, with timestamps and brand-specific details.
The chatbot also meets accessibility requirements — making it easy to use on mobile, for people with visual impairments, or those who rely on screen readers.
The result: more satisfied visitors and easier access to answers
The new chatbot now helps millions of international users better understand and explore Estonia. As a result, the portal becomes not only an informative resource but also an engaging and user-friendly tool that supports Estonia’s image as a smart and welcoming travel destination.
